An Asynchronous Model of Locality, Failurem and Process Mobility

چکیده
We present a model of distributed computation which is based on a fragment of the-calculus relying on asynchronous communication. We enrich the model with the following features: the explicit distribution of processes to locations, the failure of locations and their detection, and the mobility of processes. Our contributions are two folds. At the speciication level, we give a synthetic and exible formalization of the features mentioned above. At the veriication level, we provide original methods to reason about the bisimilarity of processes in the presence of failures. of distributed systems. Failures and failures' detection. متن کاملApplication of the Phenomenological Model to Electrophoretic Mobility in Mixed Solvent Electrolyte Systems in Capillary Zone Electrophoresis
The phenomenological model of Khossravi and Connors (1992) has been adopted to calculate the electrophoretic mobility of drugs at different concentrations of solvents in a binary mixture. The accuracy and predictability of the model have been evaluated employing 14 experimental data sets by using average percentage mean deviation (APMD). The obtained APMD for correlative and predictive studies ...

متن کاملMobile Software Agents: An Overview - IEEE Communications Magazine
he term mobile agent contains two separate and T distinct concepts: mobility and agency.1 Mobile agents refer plainly to self-contained and identifiable computer programs that can move within the network and act on behalf of the user or another entity [l]. The idea of a self-controlled program execution near the data source has been proposed as the next wave to replace the client-server paradig...
متن کاملSome Results in the Joint-Calculus
The join-calculus is a model for distributed programming languages with migratory features. It is an asynchronous process calculus based on static scope and an explicit notion of locality and failures. It allows standard polymorphic ML-like typing and thus an integration in a realistic programming language. It has a distributed implementation on top of the Caml language. We review here some of ...
